Chevron is new sponsor

Chevron has joined with the international law firm Fowler Rodriguez Valdes Fauli as a new sponsor of WorldCity’s Government Affair Connections event series.

The event series is exclusively for executives at South Florida multinationals whose primary job responsibility is public policy or government affairs work in Latin America and the Caribbean.

WorldCity launched the event series in 2008 with the sponsorship support of Fowler Rodriguez Valdes Fauli, which has offices in Coral Gables, New Orleans and Bogota. The South Florida practice is run by Raul Valdes Fauli.

Chevron expressed an interest in sponsoring the event series and its head of government affair, Rafael Jaen Williamson, has been an active participant in the events, which are held every other month.

The events have attracted public policy officials from FedEx, HP, GM, Crowley, Discovery, Nokia, HBO, Burson Marsteller, MasterCard, Alcatel-Lucent and others.

Government Affairs Connections is one of six event series WorldCity hosts for the South Florida multinational and international business community.

“Chevron’s decison to join with Fowler Rodriguez Valdes Fauli makes it possible for WorldCity to continue to grow and imporove this series, including beginning work on a ‘best practices’ manual for government affairs executives working in the region,” said WorldCity President Ken Roberts.
