Grossman is off to Los Angeles

Marcy Grossman

Government of Canada Consul General

Marcy Grossman, the Consul General representing Canada in Miami since 2005, is heading to a a new posting in Los Angeles, effective in July.

Grossman represented not only Canada in Florida but also Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands from the Miami consulate. Prior to coming to Miami, she represented the Canadian government in Dallas for three years.

Grossman is completing a final whirlwind tour of the state, armed with an update of a study she commissioned about Canada’s strong ties to the Sunshine State.

According to the findings of the study, Canada is Florida’s No. 1 international economic partner, No. 1 source of inbound tourism and No. 1 partner in terms of trade that “origin” trade — goods originating in Florida and exported to Canada or visa versa. More than 430,000 direct and indirect jobs are supported because of the relationship with Canada, which is overwhelmingly the United States’ No. 1 trade partner.
