Francia Guzman

 

FBG Consulting’s Managing Director

Francia Guzman is an experienced global human resources executive whose corporate roles have included line management, human resources leader/business partner, and center of expertise roles in staffing, talent management, leadership development and training.

She is currently Managing Director for FBG Consulting, a human resources firm. Most recently, Ms. Guzman served as Global Head of Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion at Visa Inc., moving to this role after her previous assignments with the company as Regional Head of Human Resources for Latin America & Caribbean and Global Talent Management Head.

Prior to joining Visa, she held a range of HR roles with Citigroup, including Staffing and Development Director for Latin America, Senior Generalist – Latin American Corporate and Investment Bank, and Country Human Resources Vice President for the Dominican Republic.

A writer, speaker, and member of multiple boards and organizations, Ms. Guzman was recognized in 2011 as Distinguished Woman by the National Diversity Council and was also featured in Diversity Woman Magazine that same year.

She is the author of Latino Culture: A Dynamic Force in the American Workplace, co-authored with Nilda Chong (Intercultural Press, 2005) and of “Coaching Across Cultures,” an article published by the WorldWide Association of Business Coaches. In addition, Ms. Guzmanserves on the Board for the Masters in HR Program at Florida International University and the Board of Advisors for WorldCity’s HR Connections.

Ms. Guzman holds a B.S. in Sociology from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena, undertook graduate studies in Urban and Regional Development at El Colegio de Mexico, and holds a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Miami. She is also a certified as a Business Coach by the WorldWide Association of Business Coaches and in Assessment Interviewing by Spherion. She speaks four languages.
