Meet our speakers:

Sam Rodriques is a Postdoctoral Researcher at MIT working on brain mapping technologies that will help discover new therapies and medicines for neurodegenerative diseases.

Rodriques delivered a TED Talk on “What we’ll learn about the brain in the next century” and has published several peer reviewed articles related to theories on the brain.

Rodriques has a Bachelor of Science from Haverford College, a Master of Philosophy in Engineering and Neuroscience from University of Cambridge, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from MIT.

 


 

Dr. Corinne Lasmézas is a professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Scripps Research Institute and an internationally recognized expert in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

She has advised many of the world’s leading governmental and non-governmental organizations, including the World Health Organization, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and numerous pharmaceutical companies.

It was her research that provided the first experimental evidence that “mad cow disease” had been transmitted to humans, causing the deadly variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.

Lasmézas has delivered two TEDx talks, including Cures for Neurodegenerative Diseases, The Road Unfolds.

Lasmézas has a doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine and a diploma in Aeronautic and Space Medicine from the University of Toulouse, France and a doctoral degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from the University Pierre & Marie Curie in Paris.

 


 

Chester Santos was the U.S. Memory Champion in 2008 and is widely regarded as the world’s leading memory skills expert.

From recalling a random 100-plus digit sequence in five minutes to naming every U.S. congress person’s state and district number, Santos has the ability to demonstrate superhuman mental feats and help others do the same. He has helped millions of people around the world to realize the professional, personal, and academic benefits of an improved memory.

Santos is also the personal memory and mind coach to a number of notable celebrities, politicians, professional athletes, and other top executives. He has been quoted in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, Washington Post, and TIME Magazine and has appeared on CNN, ABC, PBS, NBC, CBS, BBC, and the Science Channel.

Santos has delivered a TEDx talk, Memory 101: Memory Training for Everyone, and has written two best-selling books, one of which is featured in the Psychology section of almost every Barnes & Noble store across the United States.

Santos has a degree from University of California’s Hastings College of the Law, a master’s degree in Software Engineering from Golden Gate University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of California, Berkeley.


 

Patrick Renvoisé is Chief Neuromarketing Officer and Co-Founder of SalesBrain, a company founded in 2002 that uses neuroscience to help corporations increase sales. As a neuromarketing expert, he has closed more than three billion dollars worth of business transactions to NASA, Boeing, Shell, Canon, BMW, Airbus, and more.

Renvoisé has delivered several keynote presentations on how to effectively apply what we know about the brain to marketing, including a TEDx talk: Is There a Buy Button Inside the Brain?

Renvoisé has a master’s degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon, France. His first co-authored book, Neuromarketing: Understanding the Buy Button in Your Customer’s Brain has sold more than 200,000 copies and has been translated in 12 languages. The duo’s second book The Persuasion Code: How Neuromarketing Can Help You Persuade Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime received the Silver Award at the  2019 Axiom Business Books Awards.
