What does 2014 hold?
Please join us for our final Trade Connections event for the year, Wednesday, Dec. 11, 8-9:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Coral Gables. We have two terrific speakers lined up to give you their opinions and answer your questions.
I am interested in what their prognostications are as well. The trade picture this year is a mixed bag. Trade with three of South Florida’s top five trade partners is up – Brazil, Costa Rica and China – while trade with two is down – Switzerland and Venezuela
Among the top five exports, three are off this year – aircraft and parts, gold, and computers – while two are up – cell phones and computer chips. Imports are a little more positive, with four of the top in positive territory – computer chips, gasoline, returned exports and cell phones. Only gold is down in value.
