Isabel Montes

Isabel Montes is the Senior Human Resources Manager for Latin America at Starbucks, the largest coffee-house company in the world, with 22,100 stores in 66 countries.

Isabel is currently the HR leader for the Latin America region (14 countries), responsible for establishing the vision, goals, and selecting steps that will enable the region to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage through Innovation, Insight and Inclusion. Understanding the inner workings of the business first hand, Isabel is able to partner strategically and proactively with key leadership to translate business objectives into effective and reasonable, organizational solutions and outcomes.

Previously she was a business consultant at Arthur Andersen where she specialized in helping organizations improve their HR delivery model through the implementation of ERPs. Prior to Arthur Andersen, Isabel worked for Procter & Gamble.

Isabel earned a Bachelor’s degree as an Industrial Engineer from Universidad Javeriana in Colombia and received a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Chapman University.
